Moneyball at the Oscars

Bennett Miller's Moneyball is up for 6 Oscar's tomorrow night including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. Will be rooting for the film. I wrote additional music for the score, by Mychael Danna.

We recorded with a 70 piece orchestra at the Warner Bros Eastwood Scoring Stage last summer.

“Wires” and site gets a face lift

Site gets a face lift! Web guru Piotr implemented text design from nghbrs and a background which is a mashup of images from nghbrs and Hallwood. They're all brillant.

The track above is a sketch I created a few months ago while playing with some new studio toys.

Already it's been an absolutely crazy busy 2012 with a lot of very cool films and projects happening in the studio. Will post more about it in the coming weeks!

Moneyball – The Streak

Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman opens today in theaters everywhere. This is the third film from director Bennett Miller, director of Capote and the documentary The Cruise. I wrote additional music for the score with Mychael Danna. The score album is available everywhere. Check it on iTunes.

In Flux

An oldie but a goodie. I recorded my roommate Jefferson typing on his keyboard- where he chatted to a girl he was in love with. Amongst some circles, she's known as "Flux". The sounds of the old creaky house we lived in in Portland, OR were a part of the soundscape fabric at that time. It was magical, I wanted to capture it.
